Police Seeking Information on Fire That Destroyed Camp in Tionesta Township

TIONESTA TWP., Pa. (EYT) — Police are investigating a fire that destroyed a hunting camp in Tionesta Township over the weekend.

According to Marienville-based State Police, a hunting camp, located along Kozy Korners Lane in Tionesta Township, Forest County, was discovered completely consumed by fire on Sunday, January 20.

The fire department was never contacted and did not respond.

The fire occurred sometime between 1:30 p.m. on Saturday, January 19, and 9:00 a.m. on Sunday, January 20.

The cause of the fire is undetermined. The damage is estimated at $50,000.00.

No one was injured in the fire.

The owner of the hunting camp is a 63-year-old Erie man.
