OIL CITY, Pa. (EYT) — The Oil City Police Department is investigating a hit-and-run accident that occurred on Thursday morning.

According to police, the accident occurred at 11:20 a.m. on Thursday, April 25.

Police say a witness to the accident reported that a gray full-size extended cab pickup truck with “HDZ Designs” on the side of the truck in red lettering, towing a long trailer, made a right turn from Pennsylvania Avenue on East Third Street.

The witness reported that as the truck made the turn, the trailer made contact with a vehicle parked on Pennsylvania Avenue, causing moderate to heavy damage to the passenger side front quarter panel. The trailer also knocked down a no parking sign on East Third Street.

According to police, after noticing the witness standing on East Third Street, the driver of the truck fled the area at an increasing speed, running the stop sign at the intersection of East Third Street and Grant Street.

Police have attempted to locate contact information for “HDZ Design” through online sources and social media.
