Police Searching for Suspect After Cache of Stolen Guns Recovered in Cranberry Twp.

PA State PoliceCRANBERRY TOWNSHIP, Pa. (EYT) – Franklin-based State Police say an incident of criminal trespass occurred on Cherry Lane, in Cranberry Township, Venango County.

According to police, an unidentified suspect(s) arrived at a 45-year-old woman’s residence at the above described location in a pickup truck.

The suspect(s) forcibly kicked the bottom of the victim’s detached garage door with his foot, causing the door to come off its metal tracking rail, making its locking mechanism malfunction, police say.

The suspect then opened the door and carried approximately nine firearms under a blanket inside for deceptive unknown means, according to police.

All of the below listed recovered firearms are believed to be stolen from unknown individuals in Venango County.

  • Winchester 30-30 Caliber Marlin Lever Action Rifle/4×16 Scope
  • Snake Charmer .410 Gauge Single Shot Rifle
  • Lake Field Mark 11 .22 Caliber Bolt Action Rifle/3×9 Simmons Scope
  • Savage 30-06 Caliber Bolt Action Rifle/3×9 Simmons Scope
  • Unknown Make/Model Brown Wood Stock Bolt Action Rifle
  • Unknown Make/Model Black Single Shot Rifle
  • Unknown Make/Model Brown Wood Stock Bolt Action Rifle/Tasco Scope
  • Daisy .177 Caliber Single Shot Air Rifle/Daisy Scope
