Police Seeking Information on Suspect, Getaway Vehicle in Retail Theft at Walmart

CRANBERRY TOWNSHIP, Pa. (EYT) — According to Franklin-based State Police, a retail theft occurred around 9:48 p.m. on June 18, at Walmart, in Cranberry Township, Venango County.

Police say an unknown suspect entered Walmart, using the front entrance near the hair salon.

The suspect put a plastic tote into a shopping cart and placed numerous items into the tote, including three car stereos and a laptop computer. The suspect then exited the store through an “emergency exit only” near the automotive center where a getaway vehicle was waiting, according to police.

Police say the suspect is described as follows: a white male in his mid 20’s to early 30’s; clean shaven; approximately 5’6″ tall; and weighing approximately 160 pounds. He was wearing tan shorts; a green t-shirt; an Under Armour ball cap; and white tennis shoes with red soles.

The getaway car was being driven by another unknown individual and is described as a black SUV, possibly a Jeep Cherokee, according to police.

The total value of the items stolen is $1528.97.
