Police Seeking Information on Vehicle Stolen, Involved in Collision in Cornplanter Township

CORNPLANTER TWP., Pa. (EYT) – State police are seeking information on a vehicle that was stolen and then involved in a collision on Grandview Road, in Cornplanter Township, Venango County.

According to Franklin-based State Police, a known Oil City woman and her husband came to the station on the afternoon of Monday, March 26, to report a black 2009 Infinity G37 stolen. Prior to being reported stolen, the vehicle was involved in a crash on Grandview Road, while traveling south toward the victim’s residence on Monday, March 26, around 12:28 a.m.

The vehicle was processed by the PA State Police Forensic Services Unit on Wednesday, March 28, and blood samples were collected from the deployed vehicle airbags.

This investigation remains open, pending further investigation, including submission of collected blood samples to the DNA Lab for analysis. Although DNA analysis is a costly investigative process, these costs can be reimbursed to the Commonwealth through restitution from the perpetrator.

Anyone with information regarding occupant(s) of the vehicle between 9:00 p.m. on Sunday, March 25, and the time of the crash on Monday, March 26, is asked to contact PSP Franklin at 814-676-6596.
