Investigation Underway After Brake Lines Cut, Vehicle Vandalized in Cranberry

police lightsCRANBERRY TWP., Pa. (EYT) – According to Franklin-based State Police, an incident of criminal mischief occurred on State Route 62, one mile east of Hockman Lane, in Cranberry Township, Venango County.

Police say sometime between 9:30 p.m. on October 6 and 8:45 a.m. on October 7, an unknown perpetrator(s) damaged a 41-year-old man’s Jeep Commander at the above location.

According to police, the perpetrator(s) did the following damages:

  • cut the wires for the rear driver’s side lighting from the underside of the vehicle
  • cut the brake line for the front driver’s side wheel
  • removed the pin from the inflation valve stem of the tire, causing it to lose all air.
