Police: Vehicle Crashes into Tree off Route 8, 20-Year-Old Arrested for Suspicion of DUI

VICTORY TOWNSHIP, Pa. (EYT) — Franklin-based State Police investigated a vehicle crash that occurred around 6:03 a.m. on June 28, on State Route 8, near Twin Oaks Road, in Victory Township, Venango County.

Police say 20-year-old Michael Thomas Rummel, of Butler, was traveling south on SR 8 and lost control of his vehicle in the area of Twin Oaks.

The vehicle traveled off the roadway into the median approximately 75 yards and struck a tree before coming to a final rest, according to police.

Upon further investigation, Rummel was arrest for suspicion of DUI, police say.

No other information was provided.
