Polk Man Charged After Police Find 2-Year-Old Child Naked on Highway

POLK, Pa. (EYT) – A Polk man has been charged with child endangerment after his two-year-old child was found naked in the middle of Route 62.

According to court documents, Polk Borough Police Chief Edward Sharp, Jr. filed criminal charges against 26-year-old Dustin Allen Morgan of Polk.

According to a criminal complaint, Polk Borough Police responded to a residence in the 700 block of Main Street around 5:34 p.m., on Thursday, July 27 after Morgan’s child was seen on the highway.

The complaint states that police couldn’t find Morgan for nearly an hour before finding him passed out in his apartment.

According to the complaint, the apartment door was wide open and a bottle of “99 Apples” was found in Morgan’s bedroom along with his one-year-old child who was awake in a crib.

There was no one else in the apartment.

Morgan was arraigned at 8:50 p.m. on Thursday, July 27, in District Judge Andrew Fish’s office on two counts of child endangerment, a first-degree misdemeanor.

Unable to post $25,000.00 monetary bail, he was lodged in the Venango County Jail.

A preliminary hearing is scheduled for 8:30 a.m. on Wednesday, August 2, with Judge Fish presiding.
