Polk Man Escapes Injuries After SUV Crash

CRANBERRY TOWNSHIP, Venango County, Pa. (EYT) — A Polk man escaped injuries after the car he was driving traveled down a hill and sideswiped two trees late Saturday night, according to Franklin-based State Police.

James R. Williams, 56, of Polk was driving a 2016 Chevy Silverado on Bredinsburg Road in Cranberry Township when he lost control while traveling around a right curve. The Silverado left the road and down over the hill, swiping two trees before coming to rest.

The SUV had disabling damage to the front right side and was removed from the scene by a friend of Williams.

Williams, who was wearing his seat belt, was not injured and was charged with driving too fast.
