PARKER, Pa. – Heavy downpours caused widespread tree-related power outages around 2:30 am Wednesday for approximately 2,000 Central Electric Cooperative (CEC) members. Affected areas included members served in northern Butler county near Petrolia, as well as members in the Coal Hill area of Venango County. Restoration was completed by 8 am.

CEC crews were continuing to work throughout the early morning to restore power to 10 affected members in Butler and Armstrong counties.

Members should report outages by calling 1-800-282-8610. The cooperative thanks members for their patience during restoration efforts.

Remember to stay away from downed power lines and report them to your electric utility.
