Drugs Discovered During Traffic Stop in Clinton Township

CLINTON TWP., Pa. (EYT) — Drugs were discovered on Friday night after a traffic stop was initiated on Interstate 80, near mile marker 37, in Clinton Township, Venango County, resulted in a drug arrest.

Franklin-based State Police say around 6:06 p.m. on January 27, a silver Toyota Corolla was stopped at the above described location for multiple vehicle code violations.

Police say an investigation revealed that the driver — 37-year-old Adel Abdula Al-Ahwas, of Brooklyn, New York — was in possession of Khat, an illegal drug.

The investigation is ongoing.
