Five Parole Absconders Arrested in Oil City

OIL CITY, Pa. (EYT) — On May 21 and May 22, the Oil City Police Department in conjunction with the PA State Probation and Parole Office made five arrests of parole absconders.

The individuals were located at residences throughout the city of Oil City.

All were subsequently taken into custody and transported to the Venango County Jail as well as the Crawford County Jail.

Samantha Stevenson, 26, of Oil City
Joseph McFadden, Jr., 29, of Oil City
Shawn Stroup, 27, of Oil City
Shawn Powell, 25, of Oil City, formerly of Erie, Pa.
David Ritchey, 26, of Franklin

Ritchey was charged with the following offenses: False ID to Law Enforcement, Misdemeanor; Possession of Controlled Substance, Misdemeanor; Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Misdemeanor; and Resisting Arrest, Misdemeanor.

On May 21, officers also executed a search warrant at the residence of Stevenson and McFadden. Based on the search warrant, Stevenson and McFadden were charged with the following offenses: Possession of a Controlled Substance and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
