Franklin Man Rushed to Hospital After Car Crashes into Utility Pole

CHERRYTREE TWP., Pa. (EYT) – Franklin-based State Police have released details surrounding a one-vehicle crash yesterday in Cherrytree Township, Venango County.

Police say the accident happened around 12:54 p.m. on State Route 8.

Acccording to police, 24-year-old Douglas Ray Titus, Jr., of Franklin, lost control of his vehicle while attempting to pass another car in the northbound lanes of the roadway.

Titus’ vehicle traveled off the roadway and struck a utility pole, shearing it.

He was transported to Titusville Hospital for treatment of unknown injuries.

There is no word on his current condition.

Cherrytree Volunteer Fire Department, EmergyCare Ambulance, and Shambaugh Towing assisted at the scene.

The crash remains under investigation.
