Oil City Man Taken to Hospital After Crash in Cranberry Township

CRANBERRY TWP., Pa. (EYT) — An Oil City man was taken to the hospital Monday after being involved in a traffic accident Tuesday afternoon in Cranberry Township, Venango County.

According to Franklin-based State Police, Eugene R. Olon, 73, of Oil City, was driving a 1999 Mercury Sable and attempting to make a left turn onto Route 257 when his vehicle was struck by a 2014 Ford Focus driven by Amanda J. Fedorek, 24, of Oil City.

Police cited Olon for failing to yield to Fedorek.

Olon was taken to UPMC Northwest by Community Ambulance for treatment of suspected minor injuries.

Both drivers were wearing seatbelts.

Fedorek was not injured.

Police were assisted at the scene by Lowry’s Towing and Seneca Volunteer Fire Department.
