SCRUBGRASS TWP., Pa. (EYT) — State police say a suspected DUI/hit and run crash occurred on Friday night at the intersection of State Routes 38 and 208 in Scrubgrass Township, Venango County.

According to Franklin-based State Police, around 7:10 p.m. on Friday, March 2, a 2012 Chevy Traverse, driven by 56-year-old Harlie Donaldson, of Sligo, was stopped at the stop sign at the intersection of Routes 38 and 208.

Police say 29-year-old Justin McClaine, of Slippery Rock, failed to stop his 1999 Chevy S-10 pickup and rear-ended the Traverse.

McClaine and his passenger, 28-year-old Marissa Sellers, were not injured.

It is unknown whether Donaldson and his passenger, 56-year-old Mary Jo Donaldson, of Sligo, were injured.

According to police, McClaine attempted to flee the scene but was unsuccessful.

He failed field sobriety testings and was placed under arrest for suspicion of DUI, police say.

Both vehicles sustained minor damages.

PSP Clarion assisted at the scene.

Charges were filed at District Justice Patrick Lowrey’s office.
