EMLENTON, Pa. (EYT) – State Police say a two-vehicle crash occurred on Friday afternoon in Emlenton, Venango County.

Franklin-based State Police say this crash occurred around 4:40 p.m. on June 23, as a 1997 Ford Ranger – driven by 18-year-old Madelyn L. Morrison, of Emlenton – was traveling south on Kerr Avenue, in Emlenton Borough, and 53-year-old Denise D. Stewart, of Emlenton, was traveling north of Kerr Avenue.

As Morrison was traveling on a slight downhill grade, negotiating a right curve, she applied the brakes on the wet roadway and started to slide downhill. Her Ford Ranger slid into Stewart’s 2017 Jeep Patriot.

Both drivers were using seat belts and were not injured.

Emlenton Volunteer Fire Department assisted at the scene.

The Ford Ranger sustained minor front end damage.

The Jeep sustained disabling damage; Hovis Towing removed it from the scene.

Morrison was not charged due to the condition of the road.
