FRANKLIN, Pa. (EYT) — According to the Franklin Police Department, a drug arrest was made Sunday night in the City of Franklin.

While on patrol, officers made a traffic stop around 7:20 p.m. for a summary traffic violation.

Upon making contact with the driver — Nathan Bowers, of Erie — the odor of marijuana was detected emitting from the inside of the vehicle. Bowers was instructed to exit the vehicle, and a search of the vehicle was conducted, according to police.

A small amount of marijuana and paraphernalia were discovered, police say.

Bowers was arrested and transported to the Franklin Police Department where he was processed and released.

Charges are being filed through Judge Kirtland’s office.
