Emlenton Woman Escapes Injury in Irwin Township Crash

IRWIN TWP., Pa. (EYT) — State Police say a one-vehicle accident occurred on Saturday night on Georgetown Road, in Irwin Township, Venango County.

According to Franklin-based State Police, around 10:53 p.m. on October 28, 35-year-old Rebecca L. Layman, of Emlenton, was traveling north on Georgetown Road in a 2005 Chrysler Town & Country. As the vehicle was negotiating a downhill left curve, it lost traction and struck a ditch on the right side of the roadway. The vehicle became stuck in the ditch.

Layman was not injured. She was not using a seat belt.

She was charged with a traffic violation.

The vehicle was towed from the scene.
