Titusville Woman Flown to UPMC Hamot Following Oakland Township Crash

OAKLAND TWP., Pa. (EYT) — A Titusville woman was flown to UPMC Hamot by STAT MedEvac following a Tuesday afternoon crash in Oakland Township.

According to Franklin-based State Police, around 3:54 p.m. on Tuesday, September 18, 22-year-old Marisa J. Barker, of Titusville, was driving a 2006 Ford Escape north on State Route 417, just south of Camp Wilbea Road, in Oakland Township, Venango County.

Police say Barker’s vehicle left the roadway for unknown reasons, striking a ditch and then shearing a utility pole in half.

She was flown to UPMC Hamot by STAT MedEvac for injuries of unknown severity.

She was wearing a seatbelt.

The road was shut down for approximately two hours due to live power lines on the vehicle and the roadway.

The vehicle was towed from the scene by Lowry’s Towing.

Oakland Township Volunteer Fire Department assisted at the scene.
