Oil City Man Arrested on Outstanding Warrants Busted for Meth

OIL CITY, Pa. (EYT) — An Oil City man is facing felony charges after police say he was found in possession of methamphetamine while police were taking him into custody on outstanding arrest warrants.

According to police, 30-year-old Dustin Cox, of Oil City, was taken into custody around 11:55 a.m. on Monday, July 16, on multiple outstanding arrest warrants and was found to be in possession of methamphetamine and multiple pieces of drug paraphernalia.

Cox was arraigned at 4:00 p.m. on Monday, July 16, in Magisterial District Judge Andrew F. Fish’s office on the following charges:

  • Manufacture, Delivery, or Possession With Intent to Manufacture or Deliver, Felony
  • Possession of Controlled Substance, Misdemeanor (two counts)
  • Deliver/Intent To Deliver Drug Paraphernalia, Misdemeanor
  • Use/Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Misdemeanor (two counts)

Unable to post $10,000.00 cash bail, he was lodged in the Venango County Jail

A preliminary hearing is scheduled for 8:30 a.m. on Wednesday, July 25, with Judge Fish presiding.
