Two Men Rushed to UPMC Following Pinegrove Township Crash

PINEGROVE TWP., Pa. (EYT) – Two men were transported to UPMC Northwest following a crash in Pinegrove Township early Thursday morning.

According to police, around 4:53 a.m. on Thursday, November 29, Michael T. Yashinski, 47, of Oil City was operating a 2004 Chevrolet Colorado, traveling east on State Route 157 in Pinegrove Township, Venango County.

Police say State Route 157 was ice-covered when Yashinski’s vehicle traveled off the north berm and impacted an embankment.

Yashinski and his passenger, Jason E. Weilacher, 43, of Oil City, were both wearing seatbelts at the time of the crash.

Yashinski and Weilacher both suffered injuries of unknown severity and were transported to UPMC Northwest for treatment.

The vehicle sustained minor damage. The impact caused both passenger side tires to flatten.

Pinegrove Volunteer Fire Department and Minich’s Towing and Recovery assisted at the scene.
