RICHLAND TWP., Pa. (EYT) — State police have released the details of a crash that occurred last week on State Route 58 in Richland Township.

According to Clarion-based State Police, around 11:17 p.m. on Sunday, February 10, 37-year-old Andrea L. Budmark, of Butler, was traveling east on State Route 58, in Richland Township, Clarion County, in a 2011 Nissan Versa.

As the vehicle was negotiating a left-hand curve in the roadway, a deer ran from the south side of the road onto the travel lanes. Budmark swerved to miss the deer and slid sideways off the south side of the road and impacted a tree and then came to a rest facing west.

Emlenton Area Ambulance Service transported Budmark and a passenger — 21-year-old Tia R. Durham, of Butler — to Clarion Hospital for suspected minor injuries.

Both occupants were using seat belts.

Budmark was charged with a traffic violation.

St. Petersburg Volunteer Fire Department and Hovis Towing assisted at the scene.
