RICHLAND TWP., Pa. (EYT) — Police say treacherous road conditions led to a Tuesday morning rollover crash involving a Franklin woman.

According to Franklin-based State Police, around 8:31 a.m. on Tuesday, March 12, Mikayla L. Markle, 22, of Franklin, was operating a 2006 GM Sierra, traveling east on State Route 38 in Richland Township, Venango County.

Police say Markle was negotiating a left turn when she hit a large patch of ice. The vehicle continued to travel off the southern side of the road before striking an embankment and overturning. It came to a final rest facing northeast in the eastbound lane of travel.

Markle was wearing a seatbelt and was not injured.

Knox Area Ambulance Service assisted at the scene.
