ROCKLAND TWP., Pa. (EYT) — Franklin-based State Police say a one-car crash occurred yesterday on State Route 322, west of Hepler Road, in Rockland Township, Venango County.

According to police, around 7:00 a.m., 25-year-old Erik T. Hartle, of Bridgeville, Pa., was traveling west on Route 322 and lost control of his 2009 Chevrolet Malibu as he attempted to negotiate a left hand curve in the roadway.

His car traveled off the north side of the road and struck shrubbery and trees, police say.

The vehicle sustained damage to its front end.

Hartle was using a seat belt and escaped injuries.
