Probation Check Leads to Drug Bust in Oil City

OIL CITY, Pa. (EYT) — Two people were arrested on drug charges Tuesday in Oil City.

Around 4:53 p.m., Oil City Police assisted Pennsylvania Probation and Parole at an address in the 400 block of North Street.

Police say while inside the residence, officers located several glass pipes, baggies, and containers that had held methamphetamine. Along with the drug paraphernalia, officers also located a small amount of marijuana and methamphetamine.

The release noted that both residents in the home were on supervision with Probation.

Robert Aikins III, 33, was charged with two counts of possession of a controlled substance, ten counts of drug paraphernalia, and one count of possession of a small amount of marijuana.

Cynthia Rhodes, 59, was charged with one count of possession of a controlled substance, ten counts of drug paraphernalia, and one count of criminal conspiracy.

Police say charges will be filed through Magisterial District Judge Andrew Fish’s office.
