Public Invited to Nature Art Showcase & Sale at Barrow-Civic Theatre

FRANKLIN, Pa. (EYT) — The public is invited to the Fifth Annual Nature Art Showcase and Sale on Friday and Saturday at the Barrow-Civic Theatre.

This event will be held as follows:

– Friday, February 7, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.
– Saturday, February 8, from 10:00 a.m. until 6:00 p.m.

This is a free public event featuring original artwork prepared by 69 artists from nine Pennsylvania counties.

A reception combining live music, refreshments, and the opportunity to interact with many of the artists kicks off the two-day event which depicts four seasons of outdoor recreation and natural landscapes of northwestern Pennsylvania.

The reception will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Friday evening in the lobby of the Barrow-Civic Theatre located at 1223 Liberty Street, Franklin, Pa.

Serving as strolling musicians are three young people (ages nine to 22) who will play the flute, violin, and fiddle.

This year’s participating artists will show an extensive variety of artwork, including the following techniques of visual artistic expression: pottery; painting with acrylics, oil, watercolor, and alcohol ink; jewelry; sculpture, stained glass mosaics; 3-D photography and 2-D photography; wood carving; quilting and needle felting; drawings in pastels and pencil; and mixed media pieces.

Many of the items are available for on-site purchase.
