Public Invited to PennDOT Open House in Mercer County

OIL CITY, Pa. – The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation, in partnership with AFSCME Local 2102, invites the public to attend the 17th Annual Open House Wednesday at the department’s Mercer County Maintenance Office.

Equipment, educational displays and representatives from community safety agencies as well PennDOT will be on hand.

When: 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 26, 2012

PennDOT’s Mercer County maintenance unit again this year will conduct a food drive in conjunction with the open house. A non-perishable food item would be greatly appreciated. Donations will go the Community Food Warehouse.

Among the community safety agencies that will have representatives or displays are area fire departments, local and state police, Mercer County Safe Kids, M. K. Goddard State Park, the U.S. Army Reserves, and more.
