raineyRainey M. Sheatz, 34, of Polk, formerly of Nineveh, died at 3:00 a.m. on Monday, June 19, 2017 at UPMC Hamot in Erie. Rainey was yet another beautiful soul lost too young to a battle with addiction.

She was born in Clarion on September 10, 1982 to Timothy Sheatz and Carol McVay.

Rainey graduated in 2000 from Keystone High School and later attended DuBois Business College.

She was artistic and loved to paint. She liked working on puzzles, her dogs and cats, and spending time with her family, especially her nephew, Jeremiah.

Rainey was previously employed as a receptionist with SORCE, Inc. in Shippenville; and for the Beverage-Air Corp. in Brookville.

Surviving is her mother, Carol McVay and her companion, Michael Bell of Polk; her father, Timothy Sheatz of Nineveh; a brother, Jeremiah Sheatz; a nephew, Jeremiah Sheatz, II, both of Nineveh; her paternal grandmother, Helen Sheatz and her husband Robert Hartzell of Nineveh; her maternal grandmother, Ellen Testerman of Franklin; and numerous loving aunts, uncles, and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her paternal grandfather, Harry Sheatz; her maternal grandfather, Eugene McVay; a sister-in-law, Kayla Bullers; and an uncle, Eugene McVay, Jr.

Friends and family will be received Wednesday (June 21) from noon until 2 p.m. in the Hile-Best Funeral Home, 2781 Rte. 257 in Seneca, Cranberry Township.

A funeral service will follow in the funeral home Wednesday at 2 p.m. with Rev. Evan Pippin, officiating.

Interment will be in Starr Cemetery in Nineveh, Clarion County.
