Ralph H. Payne Jr., 84, of Brookville, PA, died Wednesday, January 18, 2017 at the Jefferson Manor.

Born August 6,1932 in Sigel, PA, he was the son of the late Ralph H. Payne Sr. and Annette Cook Payne.

Ralph was a mechanic, last working and retiring from Utilities & Industries of Reynoldsville, PA.

Mr. Payne enjoyed hunting and fishing. His real passion was dirt track racing. He had owned and drove his own car at dirt race tracks in the area for many years.

Ralph is survived by two sons, Ralph T.”Tom” Payne, of Brookville, PA and SSG(ret.)Paul Payne, of Killeen, TX; four daughters, Patricia J. Mecca and her husband, Thomas, of St Mary’s, PA, Brenda L. Feltes and her husband, Dave, of Irwin, PA, Debbie Payne, of Brookville, PA, and Annette Payne, of Erie, PA; seven grandchildren; and eleven great grandchildren.

Also surviving is one brother, Richard Payne and two sisters, Alice Hatten, of Brookville, PA and Jean Rucker, of Oklahoma City, OK.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Sarah Payne.
