Rash of Thefts from Unlocked Vehicles in Franklin Prompts Investigation

FRANKLIN, Pa. (EYT) — A rash of thefts of various items from inside vehicles have been reported in Franklin.

According to Franklin Police Patrolman Wheeling, there have been several incidents reported over the past week involving thefts from unlocked vehicles parked along the street and in private driveways.

The suspect(s) are entering the vehicles and taking items such as GPS units, firearms, change, and cash.

All of the involved vehicles were left unlocked, allowing easy access.

Police remind motorists to keep the doors of unattended vehicles locked at all times.
