Raymond SmithRaymond P. Smith, 74, of 234 Washington Ave. Oil City, PA. died at 9:50 A.M. Tuesday May 23, 2017 at his home after an extended illness.

Born Nov. 14, 1942 in Franklin, PA., he was the son of the late Warren & Dorothy Van Brussel Smith.

Raymond was employed many years at the Venango Training and Development Center and had also worked for Goodwill.

He had been a member of the Plumer Presbyterian Church, he enjoyed fishing, and watching Pittsburgh Pirates Baseball.

He is survived by a sister, Dorothy Smith of Oil City; 5 brothers, William Smith of Dempseytown, Howard Smith of Oil City, Norman Smith of Oil City, Woody Smith & his wife Donna of Meridan, CT, and Wendell Smith & his wife Misty of White Bear Lake, MN; 21 nieces and nephews, numerous great nieces and nephews, and several great great nieces and nephews; and by his beloved dog Penny.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and by two brothers, Robert Smith and Donald Smith; and his dog Benny.

Friends will be received from 5-9 P.M. Friday in the Reinsel Funeral Home.

Funeral Services will be held on Saturday at 12 noon in the Plumer Presbyterian Church.

Interment will be in Plumer Cemetery.

A luncheon will be held at the church following the service.
