Regina A. Krupitzer

Member_144127Regina A. Krupitzer, 73, of Oil City, died Tuesday evening, March 3, 2015 at UPMC Northwest in Seneca following a lengthy illness and surrounded by her family.

She was born December 17, 1941 in Pittsburgh to the late Bernard J. and Martha J. (Pilette) Slattery.

Mrs. Krupitzer was baptized and raised within the catholic faith.

Regina was a loving wife, mother and grandmother.

Although she dealt with a number of medical and health issues throughout much of her life, she always carried a positive attitude and remained in good spirits.

She was the recipient of a successful liver transplant on December 25, 1987; and became a supporter of C.O.R.E., the Center for Organ Recovery and Education.

Regina had a great love for her family, and enjoyed seeing her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was also an avid Steelers fan, and enjoyed going on trips to the casinos.

Mrs. Krupitzer first worked for the Venango Training Center, and later at both the Hills and Ames Department Stores in the Cranberry Mall.

She married William A. Krupitzer in Pittsburgh on August 13, 1959, and he survives.

Also surviving are three children: Judy L. Ehrhart of Oil City, Jane L. Hutchinson and her husband Gene of Oil City, and Daniel B. Krupitzer and his wife Staci of Cochranton; eight grandchildren: Kyle Krupitzer and his fiance Tiffani Clark, Jacob Krupitzer and his partner Victor Aponte, Eric Krupitzer and his fiance Courtney Lake, Katie Ehrhart and her partner Amber Kear, Levi Woodcock, Zack Hutchinson and his wife Laura, Autumn Bever and husband Jeff, and Hannah Krupitzer; and two great-granddaughters, Mya Hutchinson and Alexa Lake.

She is also survived by her two sisters, Nancy Gillespie and her husband George and Carol Griser and her husband Bill; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, William A. Krupitzer, Jr.

Friends will be received Saturday (March 7th) from 2 – 4 and 7 – 9 p.m. in the Hile-Best Funeral Home, Inc., 2781 Rte. 257 in Seneca, Cranberry Township. A funeral service will be held in the funeral home Sunday (March 8) at 2:00 p.m. with the Rev. Larry Aldrich, officiating. Private Interment will be in Rynd Farm Cemetery near Rouseville in Cornplanter Township.
