Registration Open for Bridge Builders’ Non-Profit Seminar Set for September 28

OIL CITY, Pa. (EYT) — Bridge Builders Community Foundations is hosting a non-profit seminor on Thursday, September 28.

The event is from 8:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at the National Transit Building Great Room in Oil City, Pa.

This program is geared to help a non-profit organization determine whether it is making the right moves to stay on track legally.

It will utilize the standards for excellence educational resources as follows:

– The legal responsibilities of the board
– The Legal Checklist – doing an internal legal audit on major areas of compliance at no cost other than staff and board time
– The Fundraising Solicitation and Acknowledgement Checklist – include the legal and regulatory disclosures
– The Annual Checklist to promote the board education in fulfilling their major fiduciary responsibilities on an annual basis
– The Form 990 Public Relations Checklist

Please bring your Form 990 to the seminar.

The seminar is presented by Tish Mogan, Standards for Excellence Director, PANO (Pennsylvania Association of Nonprofit Organizations).

It is offered in partnership with Bridge Builders Community Foundations.

The event cost is $10.00, with registration required.
