OIL CITY, Pa. – The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation announces the start of a rehabilitation project that will extend the service life of a bridge on Route 3025 (Deep Hollow Road) over Lower Two Mile Run in Cranberry Township, Venango County.

The 30-foot-long bridge, located three quarters of a mile north of the intersection with Route 322, is currently listed as structurally deficient. Work will include rehabilitation of the deck and substructure.

Work is expected to start on Monday, Sept. 29, and the bridge is scheduled to be open by the end of October.

A detour will be posted during construction using Route 2006 (Bredinsburg Road).

The rehabilitation work will be performed by PennDOT’s Venango County Maintenance forces.

The bridge was built in 1957 and is used by 854 vehicles a day, on average.
