Richard JamiesonRichard Charles Jamieson, 76, of Venus, passed away peacefully Wednesday, May 24, 2017 at his son’s residence in Pleasantville surrounded by his children.

He was born on December 25, 1940 at Tonawanda, NY, a son of the late James Robert and Helen Schoenfeldt Jamieson.

Richard was a graduate of Tidioute High School, class of 1959.

He was a veteran having retired from the US Air Force in 1980 with the rank of tech sergeant after 20 years of service.

Following his career with the Air Force, Richard worked as a truck driver for John Allen Trucking for a number of years.

Richard was a life member of the VFW Post No. 8803 in Tidioute.

He enjoyed spending time with his fiancé Donna, traveling to Myrtle Beach, SC, as well as spending time with his family at Camp Ralph.

He was also an avid hunter.

Richard is survived by his fiancé, Donna Carley of Venus; his children, Wendy Jo Jamieson of Tidioute, Cynthia Kay Jamieson and companion Lori of Williamstown, PA, and James Richard Jamieson and wife Amber of Pleasantville; two step-sons, Joseph and Steven Birchard, both of Warren; two brothers, Robert Jamieson of Tionesta, and Thomas Jamieson and wife Diane of Tidioute; a sister, Jo Jamieson Adams and husband Robert of Stoneboro; four grandsons, Jason Snavley and wife Kayla of Centerville, Timothy Snavley and wife Sarah of Pittsfield, Joshua and Dylan Jamieson, both of Pleasantville; a granddaughter, Mara Antonuccio of Williamstown, PA; three great granddaughters, Elliauna Mae Snavley, Adelyn Jay Snavley, and Alayna Kay Snavley, all of Centerville; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Patricia Martin Jamieson; a daughter and son-in-law, Debra Lee Jamieson Brown and Greg Brown; and a step-son, Robert Birchard.

No public viewing will be observed. A celebration of his life will be held at a later date.
