Richard Kevin “Coonie” Jackson

Richard Kevin “Coonie” Jackson, 63, of Main Street, Emlenton, passed away Friday, May 24, 2019, following a long illness.

Richard was born on January 25, 1956. He was the son of the late William “Bill” and Leda Coulter Jackson.

He attended Allegheny Clarion High School. He married Vickie (Krainz) Warner in 1981, and although they divorced in 1983, they raised their daughter, Stephanie Marie (Jackson) Graham, and remained lifelong friends. In 2002 he had another beautiful daughter, Eva Nicole Jackson.

Throughout the years he finished drywall for many companies. Until he was injured at work, he worked for the Laborers Union. He enjoyed riding Harleys and building choppers in his younger years. He also loved to fish and spend time outdoors. Coonie was an avid Pittsburgh sports fan. He loved watching sports games on tv with his friends and at his favorite drinking spot, Otto’s Tavern.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Jeff Jackson.

Surviving are his daughters, Eva Jackson of Florida and Stephanie (Jackson) Graham of Emlenton; his grandson, Gavin Graham of Emlenton; his brothers, Eric Jackson, Mark Jackson and his wife, Debbie, and Steve Jackson, all of Emlenton; a sister-in-law, “Ginger” Jackson of Bradford; two nieces, Brandi and Amanda Jackson; his nephew, Shawn Jackson, as well as a number of and aunts, uncles, and cousins. A graveside memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday at the Scrubgrass Stone Church Cemetery, Stone Church Road, Emlenton. Memorial contributions may be made to Hile Funeral Home, PO Box 476, Emlenton, PA 16373.
