Ricky A. “Rick” Wynkoop

Ricky A. “Rick” Wynkoop, 55, of Clarion, passed away unexpectedly of Acute Respiratory Failure Friday morning, December 21, 2018, at the Butler V.N.A. Hospice.

He was born on January 10, 1963, in Clarion; son of the late Dale Wynkoop, Sr. and Wilda Edmonds Wynkoop.

Rick was a member of the Heavy Carpenter’s Union. He formerly worked for Luton’s Plumbing and Heating in Clarion and was currently working at New Era in Strattanville.

Rick was of the Protestant Faith. He was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles Post #3807 of Clarion.

Rick was an avid Steelers fan and enjoyed watching NASCAR. He liked tinkering with cars and boats and was well known for fixing anything.

Rick had such a love for spending time at the Clarion River enjoying the beauty and peacefulness of it.

He is survived by his brother, Dale Wynkoop, Jr. and his wife Jennifer of Clarion, his two sisters, Sherry Rifley of Virginia and Janice Gabler of Brookville, his niece, Brittany Gabler of Clarion, two nephews, Tyler Gabler of Clarion and Jereme Wynkoop and his wife Holly of Seminole, his great-nephews, Ashton, Aydan, and Logan, a special aunt, Margaret Schmader of Lucinda, and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Rick was preceded in death by his parents.

Rick’s family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, December 27, 2018, at the Robert V. Burns Funeral Home in Clarion, where a Memorial Service will follow at 7:00 p.m. in the Funeral Home with Rev. Kevin Haley, pastor of the First United Methodist Church of Clarion.

Interment will take place in the Clarion Cemetery.
