(EYT) – NOMaD and Courtney Stewart, two local favorites that are making a splash in the country music scene, will perform live tonight at Fryburg’s Mayfest celebration.

The show kicks off at 8:00 p.m. with 16-year-old country singer-songwriter Courtney Stewart.

Stewart’s debut album, “Where Will I Fit In?” was released on Lamon Records in October.

Courtney is a sophomore at Keystone Junior-Senior High School.

She will be followed NOMaD, a “hard-rockin’ modern country” band out of the Pittsburgh area.

The band released it’s sophomore effort in November.

They have opened for national acts such as John Michael Montgomery, George Jones, Lee Ann Womack, and Craig Morgan.

Luke Zacherl, the band’s fiddle player, was born and raised in the Fryburg/Marble area and is a 1999 Keystone Junior-Senior High School graduate.

Luke, who has been with NOMaD for five years, says he always enjoys performing at shows close to home.

“I’ve gotten to do a lot of cool things playing in this band. I’ve played all over the place and met a lot of my heroes, but it’s awesome to come home and play in front of my family and friends and get that same feeling of excitement as when we opened for Kenny Chesney or when we got to sing on stage with Brad Paisley.”, said Zacherl.
