Road Rage: Venango Co. Man Accused of Punching Driver in Head Multiple Times

FRENCHCREEK TOWNSHIP, Pa. (EYT) – A Venango County man is facing several charges following a violent road rage incident.

In a release issued Sunday, Franklin-based State Police said Tracy Laufer, 57, of Utica, was traveling along Raymilton Road in Frenchcreek Township, Venango County, on September 11, when he encountered a slower-moving vehicle.

Laufer then allegedly caused a crash involving the vehicle. Laufer and the victim — a 58-year-old Venango County man — were injured in the accident.

Police said Laufer then got out his car and punched the victim several times in the head, face and back.

Laufer is facing various charges including aggravated assault, simple assault, criminal mischief, recklessly endangering another person, passing in a no passing zone, and reckless driving.

He is awaiting a preliminary hearing.
