Robert WingardRobert “Bob” Perry Wingard, age 72, of Brookville, PA, passed away on Friday, March 3, 2017, after a short stay at the McKinley Health Center in Brookville, PA.

He was a 16 year resident of Brookside Senior Living before making his recent transition.

Bob was born on November 25, 1944, in Kane, PA, to the late Ivan Jacob and Zelda Anonelle (Davis) Wingard.

He graduated from the Brockway High School. He then served his country honorably as a member of the United States Army.

After the military he began working for National Fuel and he spent his entire career, which was 34 years and 4 months, working for them.

He had attended the Munderf Methodist Church and he was a member of the American Legion, Post 102, in Brookville, PA.

He enjoyed fishing and he loved tinkering with wood and older model lawn mowers.

He built his own camp in Sigel, PA; it was a one room log cabin, but he loved it.

Bob is survived by 1 brother; Joseph Guy Wingard; 11 nieces and nephews; and 18 great-nieces and great-nephews.

In addition to his parents, Bob is preceded in death by 2 sisters; Ila Vivian Wingard and Marcella Jean Hahn; and 2 brothers; Merle Kay Wingard and Richard Leroy Wingard.

Family and friends will be received on Sunday, March 5, 2017, from 2 – 4pm and 6 – 8pm, at the McKinney – d’Argy Funeral Home, ltd, 345 Main St., Brookville, PA, 15825.

A funeral service will be held on Monday, March 6, 2017, also at the funeral home, beginning at 11:00am, and officiated by Pastor Don Henderson.

Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of the donor’s choosing.
