Ritts RobertRobert M. “Bob” Ritts, 59, of McClintockville Road in Oil City, Cornplanter Township, died peacefully at 5:45 p.m. on Wednesday, August 26, 2015 at his home with loved ones at his side.

He was born November 15, 1955 in Franklin to the late Donald M. and Alice P. (Wolff) Ritts.

He was a 1973 graduate of Cranberry High School.

Bob was a former member of ABATE and a member of the Oil City Loyal Order of Moose Lodge.

He was a member of Ashland United Methodist Church.

Bob was a self-employed owner/operator of T.D.S. Transport and specialized in the transportation and hauling of new modular homes and trailers for over thirty years.

He owned two motorcycles and loved to ride; he took many motorcycle trips with his family and friends, sight-seeing throughout most of the United States. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, and also enjoyed his career and the work he did. Bob was a very strong-willed person and continued to work throughout most of his two year battle with cancer.

He was married in Oil City on April 26, 1997 to the former Carol A. Becker, and she survives.

Also surviving are five children: Roberta Kohlmeyer and her husband Greg of Eau Claire, Alice Smith and her husband James of Mercer, Theresa Dominique and her husband Andy of Rocky Grove, Matthew Baughman and his wife Jamie of McDonald, and Patricia Nelson of Ellicott City, Maryland; and ten grandchildren: Arielle and Austin Hall, Jacob Smith, Nick, Landon, and Madison Kohlmeyer, Anabell Hawkins, Wyatt Dominique, and Masen and Blake Baughman.

He is also survived by four sisters: Donna Wineland of Douglassville, Kathleen Theis and her husband Dan of Carnegie, Deborah Warner and her husband James of Kennerdell, and Chris Ritts and her partner Jerri Whitlock of Senoia, Georgia; his step-mother, Mary Ritts of Van; and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by an infant sister, Ester Darlene Ritts, a sister Ruthie Trillizio, and a brother-in-law, Barry Wineland.

Friends will be received Friday (Aug. 28th) from 3-5 and 7-9 p.m. and on Saturday (Aug. 29th) from 10-11 a.m. in the Hile-Best Funeral Home, Inc., 2781 Rte. 257 in Seneca, Cranberry Township. A funeral service will be held in the funeral home Saturday at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Calvin Cook, pastor of Ashland United Methodist Church, officiating.

Interment will follow in Ashland Cemetery, Ashland Township, Clarion County.
