Robert M. Hartle, 65, of Oil City, PA. ,died at 4:30 A.M. Thursday Feb. 2, 2017 at his home after an extended illness.

Born Sept. 5, 1951 in Oil City, PA., he was the son of the late William & Ramona Murray Hartle

Bob attended Oil City Schools.

He had been employed as a lumber inspector for Davidson-McNair and had worked for Fox’s Pizza.

He was a member of the V.F.W.

Bob enjoyed genealogy, the Pittsburgh Steelers and talking politics.

He is survived by 7 children; Christopher M. Hartle & his wife Mindy and his children Sean & Breanne; Robert M. Hartle Jr. his children Jon’ell, Ashleigh, Robert (RJ), Jazlyn, Taylor, Brian, Kyle, Chandler and Autumn; Lisa Marie Hartle & her fiance Jason Covington and her children Terence, De’Andre and Zelika; Michael J. Hartle & his wife Stephanie and their children Sara, Olivia and Michael Jr.; Missy Shreve & her fiance Francesco Henkel and her children Kaleb and Kaiden; Crystal Slagle & her husband Daryl and their children Bethany, Adrianne, and Emily; Jennifer Plyler and her children Vanessa, Alexa and Haylee; as well as 4 great grandchildren.

He is also survived by 3 brothers; John Hartle & his wife Patricia of NC and their children John Jr, Thomas and Michelle; William Hartle of Oil City and his children Karrie, Robert, William and Heather; James Hartle of Knox and his children Jamie, Josh, Sheldon and Bradley; as well as nieces and nephews Anna, William and Kristine, Charlie, Todd and Jason.

He was preceded in death by an infant brother William Hartle Jr., a brother Richard Hartle and a sister Linda McMillen.

A Memorial service will be announced at a future date.
