robert sweeneyRobert Paul Sweeney, 63, of Heckathorn Church Road, Seneca, died Friday afternoon, June 16, 2017 at UPMC Northwest in Seneca, following a brief illness.

He was born in Oil City on January 4, 1954 to the late Frank and Margaret (Waters) Sweeney.

Bob enjoyed the companionship of his beloved German Shepherd, “Isabelle.”

He was married in Oil City on September 6, 1974 to the former Gladys McMurdy, who survives, along with their four children: Amy Barr and her husband Eric of Oil City, Robert Sweeney of Franklin, Michelle Porter and her husband Robert of Franklin, and Jennifer Murray and her husband Joshua of Oil City; and eight grandchildren: Hunter and Matthew Barr, Kaycee, Kalyn, and Kelsey Sweeney, and Nadia, Ethan, and Gunner Murray.

Also surviving is his sister, Cheryl Sweeney of Kentucky; his brother, Raymond Sweeney of Seneca; and numerous nieces and nephews.

There will be no visitation or funeral service held.

The Hile-Best Funeral Home in Seneca, Cranberry Township is completing funeral arrangements.
