Police Calls: Rock Throwers Damage Vehicles; Woman Shoplifts

FRANKLIN, Pa. (EYT) — Sugarcreek Borough Police have investigated the following incidents.

Rocks thrown at moving vehicles

Police are seeking information on two incidents Friday, June 16, where unknown person(s) threw large rocks at two separate vehicles on Allegheny Boulevard.

The first involved a 2014 Honda. The thrown rock hit and struck the windshield. A few hours later, a thrown rock hit a Ford truck, also causing damage.

Anyone with information can call Sugarcreek Police at 814-437-3703. Callers have the option to remain anonymous.

Woman accused of shoplifting at Kmart

Felony retail theft and receiving stolen property charges were filed against Megan Jewell, 27, of Warren, for allegedly taking $202.80 worth of items from Kmart on Allegheny Boulevard.

Police say store personnel caught Jewell stealing the items Tuesday, June 6.
