Rocky Grove Girls’ Hoops Advance in D10 Playoffs by Beating Eisenhower

FRANKLIN, Pa. (EYT)– Thanks to a 12 of 16 performance at the free-throw line, Taylor Dziekciaz scored a game-high 18 points to lead Rocky Grove to a 32-25 win over visiting Eisenhower in the opening round of the District 10 Class 2A girls’ basketball playoffs Saturday afternoon.

The Orioles used a 14-7 fourth-quarter advantage to break an 18-all tie going into the final eight minutes. Rocky Grove will take on Cochranton at 2:30 p.m. Saturday at Meadville High School in the quarterfinals.

Mandi Ruditis added eight points for Rocky Grove, which scored 20 of its 30 points from the charity stripe making just six shots from the field but going 20 of 30 from the line.

Eisenhower, which hit nine shots while going 9 of 15 from the line, got 11 points from Kirsten Baran.
