Police Release Details on Irwin Twp. Rollover Crash

IRWIN TOWNSHIP, Pa. (EYT) — Franklin-based State Police say around 9:08 p.m. on November 30, a one-car accident occurred on Georgetown Road in Irwin Township, Venango County.

According to police, 20-year-old Gregory M. Rust of New Wilmington was northbound on Georgetown Road and swerved to miss a deer that was crossing the roadway.

Rust lost control of his 2000 Saturn SL2 and slid into an embankment, causing the vehicle to rollover.

Rust was able to free himself from the crash and suffered no injuries.

He was cited for driving too fast for road conditions and a seat belt violation.
