Ronald “Ron” Omcikus, 71, of Leeper, formerly of Wilmerding, died unexpectedly Monday, July 7, 2014.

He was the son of the late George and Anna Omcikus; loving dad of Robin Omcikus-Ritchey and Ronald Omcikus Jr.; special Pap Pap of Miranda, Hayden, Jacob, Julianna and Lydia; brother of Shirley (Tom) Smith and George Omcikus Jr.; and is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and friends.

Mr. Omcikus served his country proudly during the Vietnam War as a Marine.

Family and friends are being received from 2 to 8 p.m. Thursday in the ALFIERI FUNERAL HOME, 201 Marguerite Ave., Wilmerding, PA 15148, 412-824-4332. Services will be at 9:15 a.m. Friday followed by Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in St. Jude the Apostle.
