Details of the Sexual Abuse Allegations

According to court records, the investigation began after Franklin-based State Police received a report of sexual abuse allegations involving an 8-year-old girl.

According to a criminal complaint, the girl’s mother told police that her daughter said she was sexually abused by Delp.

The victim stated that Delp pulled down her pajamas and put his hand on her “private parts.”

During a forensic interview, a doll was used to help the victim demonstrate where she was inappropriately touched.

Delp was later interviewed by police, and he denied inappropriately touching the girl, stating that “he would never sexually abuse (the victim),” according to the complaint.

Police say Delp later allegedly admitted that his “hand slipped in there by accident” on one occasion, the complaint states.

Delp is currently free on $5,000.00 unsecured bail.
