A portion of Route 8 in Crawford and Erie counties is scheduled to be closed to through traffic starting 7 AM Monday, June 4, 2018.

The closure is necessary to replace a pipe under the roadway near the Union City Country Club, between the intersection with Club Road in Union Township and the intersection with Gameland Road in Bloomfield Township.

The repairs, which will be done by PennDOT maintenance employees in Erie County, are expected to be complete by 3 PM, June 6, 2018, weather permitting.

A detour will be posted using Route 77 and Route 6. The roadway will remain open to homes and businesses along Route 8.
