TITUSVILLE, Pa. (EYT) – A routine traffic stop in Titusville early Tuesday morning led to felony charges for possession of methamphetamine, prescription drugs, and marijuana.

Titusville Police Officers were on a routine patrol on Tuesday, January 8, when they stopped a vehicle for minor infractions.

According to police, as the driver exited the vehicle and attempted to distance himself from the vehicle and the officers, he was recognized as Leo “Hoss” A. Hanlon, Jr., of Pleasantville.

Police say a check on the status of Hanlon’s driver’s license revealed that it was suspended, and Crawford County 9-1-1 advised the officers that there was an active Failure to Appear warrant for Hanlon out of the Crawford County Sheriff’s Department, as well as a bench warrant for Hanlon out of Magisterial District Judge Nicols’ office.

Hanlon was then taken into custody on the outstanding warrants.

According to police, in addition to Hanlon, there were two passengers in the vehicle, and as the officers spoke to the passengers, they noted a strong odor of raw marijuana coming from inside the vehicle.

A subsequent search of the vehicle led to the discovery of 1.5 ounces of marijuana, six grams of methamphetamine, three different types of prescription narcotics, scales, empty baggies for the purpose of sale, and additional drug paraphernalia.

Based on further investigation, Hanlon was charged with felony possession with intent to deliver. Hanlon was arraigned by Judge Nicols and lodged in the Crawford County Jail on $50,000.00 monetary bail.

One of the passengers, Selena Nicole Barker, of Titusville, was arrested for felony conspiracy to commit possession with intent to deliver. Barker was arraigned and lodged in the Crawford County jail on $5,000.00 monetary bail.

Police say the second passenger, Clayton A. Roxberry, of Grand Valley, Pa., will be facing misdemeanor drug charges.
